Lost River Tiki Takeover: Soon-to-open, east side tiki bar Lost River will bring its tropical concoctions to Gather Detroit this week. Right in time for spring, the Tiki Takeover will feature specialty drinks, tiki mugs, frozen cocktails, and shareable booze bowls. March 22.

Second Best Pop-Up: Second Best, a new bar set to open in Midtown, will make its first impression with a pop-up in The Belt in downtown Detroit on Opening Day. The event will showcase the bar’s menu of craft cocktails and snacks created by Grey Ghost owners Will Lee, Joe Giacomino, and John Vermiglio. March 29.

Red Dunn Kitchen: From 7a.m.- 3 p.m. Red Dunn Kitchen will serve a special Easter brunch menu. Featured items will include house smoked and brined corned beef hash, huevos benedictos, and ricotta raspberry pancakes. The Detroit staple will serve its regular menu and maintain its normal operating hours with dinner service starting at 3p.m. April 1.

Grey Ghost: Enjoy a visit from the Easter Bunny at Grey Ghost’s second annual Easter brunch from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tickets include pastries and an entree paired with coffee or tea. Kid’s brunch tickets are $15 and will include a special menu. $35. April 1.

Gold Cash Gold: Spring-centric specials will be featured on Gold Cash Gold’s brunch menu. From 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m., diners can enjoy dishes prepared by Chefs Brendon Edwards and Hailey Enszer. A limited edition, Easter basket-themed doughnut will also be available. April 1.

Livernois Tap: Axle Brewing Co.’s Ferndale taproom will be serving an all-day brunch menu featuring “egg-cellent” Easter entrees prepared by Chef Elliot Patti, and “beer-tails” to match. Younger guests can enjoy an Easter egg hunt in addition to a tasty meal. April 1.

Leon & Lulu ‘Let Them Eat Cake’ Baking Competition: Leon & Lulu will celebrate its 12th birthday with a baking competition. The Let Them Eat Cake Pro-Am baking contest is open to home or professional chefs and student bakers. Entries will be judged on various criteria, including taste, attractiveness, and originality and will be awarded prizes in each competing category. Leon & Lulu is now accepting entries for the competition. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan. The event is free and open to the public. April 8.

Sundays at Ah Mah’s with MyThy Huynh and Matt Tulpa at Frame: This special Sunday dining experience will include discussions from MyThy Huynh and Matt Tulpa, as well as a family-style meal featuring Huynh’s special dumplings, “telephone” soup and noodles, and other dishes inspired by Tulpa’s Native American upbringing. $65+. The Whitney Paranormal Dinner Adventure: The Whitney’s monthly dining event will take attendees on a tour of the mansion, carriage house, and garden of the estate. Guests will enjoy a historically informative night as well as a five-course dinner with pre-selected specialty cocktails and wine. $135. April 22.

Savor Detroit Dinner Series: For five nights, 10 local and recognized chefs take over Southfield’s Great Lakes Culinary Center, preparing unique four-course meals that are perfectly paired with selected wines. Wright & Company’s Cocktail Lunch: Learn everything about tiki cocktails, from styles of rum to various swizzle techniques during this private cocktail lunch. Last Call: 100th Anniversary of Prohibition in Detroit: Hosted by Detroit City Distillery and Prohibition Detroit, Last Call pays homage to the dreadful day when Prohibition affected Michigan. The two companies will invite guests to mourn the temporary loss of alcohol with, of course, alcohol. Mourners will receive a special armband and a complimentary drink. $15. April 28.
