AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES & GIVEAWAY TERMS
Participation in the 2022 Best of Detroit Gift Card Giveaway (“2022 Best of Detroit Giveaway”) constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules & Giveaway Terms (“Rules”) and the decisions of Hour Media Group, which are final and binding. Winning a prize in the 2022 Best of Detroit Giveaway is contingent upon fulfilling and complying with all requirements set forth herein.
CONTEST PERIOD
The Voting Period begins at 11:59am EST on February 1, 2022 and ends at 11:59pm on March 15, 2022 EST (the “Voting Period”). Winners will be selected from votes properly submitted and timely received during the Voting Period. Hour Media Group’s database clock will be the official timekeeper.
ELIGIBILITY
The 2022 Best of Detroit Giveaway is open only to individuals who (1) are eighteen years of age or older, (2) have a valid Michigan residential mailing address, (3) are NOT employees, family, or close friends of Hour Media Group employees, and (4) have ‘followed’ Hour Detroit magazine’s Instagram page (located here: https://www.instagram.com/hourdetroitmagazine/) with their personal Instagram account by the time of the winner selection.
In order to be considered for the 2022 Best of Detroit Giveaway, entrants must provide accurate information when submitting their vote (such as a valid email address, name, etc.). All applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. PURCHASES WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
HOW TO ENTER/QUALIFY
To enter, entrants must vote in Hour Detroit’s 2022 Best of Detroit Readers Poll during the Voting Period. The landing page can be found here: https://www.hourdetroit.com/best-of-detroit-2022-online-ballot/
WINNER SELECTION
Winners will be determined by random drawing to be held within 30 days of the final day of the Voting Period. The winner will be notified by one or more of the following: (1) via email using the email address provided on the voting form or (2) the winner’s social media direct message inbox.
CONDITIONS
Hour Media Group reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the 2022 Best of Detroit Giveaway (or portion thereof). All federal, state and local taxes on prize and any expenses not specified herein are the sole responsibility of winner. Automated or robotic entries submitted by individuals or organizations will be disqualified.
Should a dispute arise regarding the identity of the claimant, Hour Media Group reserves the sole right to determine the eligible party. By participating, entrant waives all rights to bring (and covenants not to bring) any claim against Hour Media Group or any others associated with the 2022 Best of Detroit Giveaway. Any disputes that may arise hereunder shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the State of Michigan without regard to the conflicts of laws principles of any jurisdiction.
PRIVACY
By participating in the 2022 Best of Detroit Giveaway you grant Hour Media Group permission to communicate with you via email or social media should you be the winner.
