Dr. Darienne Driver is president and CEO of United Way for Southeastern Michigan. For more than 100 years, United Way has worked with partners to identify and develop solutions to longstanding challenges in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. Dr. Driver has a solid record of bringing diverse groups together to make a collective impact, changing lives for the better.

United Way is able to take limited community resources and make them go further. Together with nonprofit and corporate partners, it makes sure people can meet their basic needs when an emergency strikes and it creates opportunities around education, workforce development and healthier communities.

“I’ve always believed there’s power when different organizations come together to create change,” Dr. Driver says. “Everyone has a role in strengthening our community — and at United Way, we welcome you to give, advocate, and volunteer with us.”
