In a year when fresh U.S. Census Bureau figures will provide an updated snapshot of who we are, it seems fitting to note the demographics of those elected to represent us.In Michigan, state legislators remain largely white and male. The racial and ethnic composition of the Senate and House is fairly representative of the state population, but their average age skews older.
