It came as no surprise that Prime + Proper took home nine wins in this year’s Best of Detroit feature. Though it’s often billed as a steakhouse — the eatery does exceptionally well in the steak department — the restaurant serves everything from seafood to dessert impeccably. To that end, it’s list of accolades are as long as they are well deserved. They include: Best Restaurant Ambience, Best Restaurant Dessert, Best Street-Level Window Seat (for which it tied with newcomer San Morello), Best Attentive Service, Best Wine List, and, of course, Best Restaurant for General Excellence.
In addition to its win for Best Attentive, a few of Prime + Proper’s particularly memorable staff members earned awards for their exceptional service. Those include Tiffany Best as Best Maître D (the surname says she was born to win) and Liz Martinez as Best Sommelier. If you haven’t yet been to Prime + Proper, now is the time to plan a visit.
