The glitzy and glamorous Tapper’s is a metro Detroit treasure. With locations in West Bloomfield, Troy, and Novi, the jeweler is a go-to spot for luxury pieces from designer brands like Rolex, Cartier, David Yurman, Shinola, and many more. It’s partly this high-end inventory, as well as the company’s long history and dedicated employees, that has helped the metro Detroit favorite become a winner in customer’s eyes. This year, Tapper’s is named Best Jeweler – Multiple Locations and Best Place to Buy an Engagement Ring – Multiple Locations.
The family-owned business has been in service for more than 40 years. Tapper’s was started by CEO and owner Howard Tapper in the late ’70s. A jewelry aficionado since his teenage years — he sold his first gold watch when he was 15 years old — the businessman opened the first Tapper’s store in Southfield. Over the years, the business went on to thrive and expand to more locations and employees, including a number of Tapper’s family members and staff that have worked with the company so long they may as well be family.
Tapper’s prides itself on all of the above plus its devotion to the local community. The business supports organizations like Teach For America, the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Center, and National Council of Jewish Women. Whether its helping customers find the perfect piece of jewelry for their loved one or helping others, giving is always the mission. For more information, visit tappers.com.
