Birmingham Sushi Cafe

Restaurant Category: Asian

  • Profile

Young and Hoim Hwang depart from the strictly traditional to offer what they call Asian fusion cuisine. They’ve added Korean specialties to the Japanese menu, including bi bim bop, probably the best known dish to non-Koreans. Japanese dishes such as shrimp tempura, and chicken, salmon, or beef teriyaki, arrive at the table at lunch in a bento box, a compartmented lacquer tray, with dipping sauce, rice, and California or spicy tuna roll. The sushi bar occupies a prominent spot. L & D daily.
