Mercury Burger & Bar

The vintage Corktown brick building seats 70 around the central zinc-covered bar, which is set with Mercury (Liberty) dimes. Well-made burgers are served casually atop sheets of waxed paper on metal trays. Salads and sandwiches round out the menu, which has a local thrust and includes beer taps. A downstairs room seats another 40 or so, and there is more seating at picnic tables on the brick patio “biergarten.” The corner spot overlooks the Michigan Central Station. B, L & D daily.
