Serving as medical director of Foundations Detroit since its opening, Dr. Robert Kirchoff is an experienced internal medicine and addiction medicine specialist, with extensive backgrounds in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of co-occurring disorders. Foundations Detroit provides integrated treatment and recovery support targeted specifically to individuals with co-occurring addiction and mental health concerns.
Dr. Kirchoff’s multifaceted approach focuses on health optimization, with acute care of comorbid medical conditions, alongside the treatment of the underlying addiction related pathologies and cooccurring psychiatric disorders.
“This multisystems-based approach allows for a customized plan of care to meet the unique needs of each individual patient,” says Dr. Kirchoff, a Detroit-area native who completed his residency training at Mayo Clinic and Wayne State University and is an active member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
