Dr. Dianne Schlachter received her medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Kresge Eye Institute, where she was nominated, and served, as co-chief resident. She then went on to complete a one-year Ocular Trauma and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship followed by a two-year Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship through Kresge Eye Institute. She is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and is board certified in ophthalmology.

With her colleagues at Consultants in Ophthalmic and Facial Plastic Surgery, PC, Dr. Schlachter offers cosmetic eyelid and brow surgery; treatment of lower eyelid “bags”; Botox treatments around the eyes; surgical management of drooping eyelids, eyelid tumors and reconstruction, and lower eyelid malposition. She has a special interest in treating drooping of the brow and specializes in all areas of reconstructive and cosmetic eyelid and facial surgery. Her research interests include vitamin D deficiency and nutrition’s association with inflammatory disorders and aging.

Dr. Schlachter has received the Beaumont Eye Institute Teacher Award and has been voted Best Doctors in American in 2017-2018. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Oakland University William Beaumont Hospital School of Medicine and is Co-Director of Oculoplastic Surgery at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.

Consultants in Ophthalmic and Facial Plastic Surgery, PC, has seven locations: Southfield, Troy, Flint, St. Clair Shores, Novi, Southgate, and Livonia. In addition to Dr. Schlachter, five other surgeons, Drs. Gladstone, Black, Nesi-Eloff, Beaulieu, and Mikkilineni, compose the practice. All physicians hold affiliations with only the top-accredited hospitals, and all are experts in the field of oculoplastics. Dr. Schlachter is available at the Southfield, St. Clair Shores, Flint and Troy offices.
