Fans of Blake’s Hard Cider Co. that are participating in dry January are in luck as the brand has announced its first line of non-alcoholic drinks called “Sorta Pop.”

Blake’s Sorta Pop is a low-calorie, low sugar, carbonated probiotic soda (pop) line that is made with real fruit, and comes in three flavors: tangerine, strawberry-watermelon-cucumber, and lemon lime.

Each 12-ounce can contains 25 calories or less, and only three to six grams of sugar from monk fruit. They are also “packed with over a million probiotics,” a type of microorganism that is said to promote gut-health, that “may support digestive balance.”

“Coming from Blake’s 77 years’ experience growing, picking, and pressing our harvest, exploring a healthy, alternative beverage made with real fruit is a natural extension for us,” Chelsea Cox, the Director of Marketing and Product Development for Blake’s Hard Cider Co. said in a press release.

“As consumers become more selective and educated in their beverage choices, that shift makes way for a better-for-you beverage like Sorta Pop that delivers great flavor, bubbles, plus health benefits.”

Sorta Pop is the first line of non-alcoholic beverages in the 10-year history of Blake’s Hard Cider Co. It is expected to hit store shelves by mid-January and will sell for $2.49 MSRP. An expanded distribution to southeast Michigan chain stores is expected by spring.

Blake’s Hard Cider Co. was established in 2013 as an independent, family-owned craft-cider in Armada. Their line-up of beverages includes core and limited-edition hard ciders, hard lemonades, cocktail-inspired ciders, and a rotating philanthropy series.
