Let these local delis and cafes handle your Passover meal with these special holiday carry out options.

Passover — the Jewish holiday that commemorating the story of the Israelites’ escape from slavery in Egypt — kicks off in 2024 the evening of April 22 and will continue until the evening of April 30. These four metro Detroit delis and cafes are celebrating with the community by offering carry out options for your Passover Seder.

Zingerman’s Delicatessen

You can choose from a complete Seder meal that will feed four for $160 or a ceremonial Seder plate for $30. Individual Seder meals are also available in options such as lamb tagine, beef brisket, and lemon thyme chicken. Complete your order with a slice of lemon sponge cake or chocolate orange torte. Matzo ball soup, too. This menu is available beginning April 5. Passover orders must be made by 5 p.m. on April 19. Orders are provided cold with reheat instructions. Pick up your order April 22-24. Steve’s Deli

Get your orders in April 22-23 for á la carte Passover items, entrées, and desserts. On the á la carte menu, find options like chopped liver (and vegetarian chopped liver), charoset, matzo balls, and green beans with slivered almonds. Entrée options include roasted chicken, roasted chicken with apricot glaze, roasted turkey, and roasted brisket. Stage Deli

A complete Seder costs $325, serves six people, and comes with chopped liver and matzo crackers, gefilte fish and horseradish, matzo ball soup with carrots, roasted brisket or herb roasted chicken, roasted potatoes, spring vegetable, tzimmes, Charoses and Passover Matzo. You can also order individual starters, entrees, sides, and dessert á la carte, or get a complete Seder plate for $30. Orders accepted through Thursday, April 18, and can be picked up on Monday, April 22 before 3 p.m. All items are chametz-free but not Kosher. This Passover catering menu includes a Seder plate for just $24.95, honey-glazed salmon, chicken soup, Matzo balls, fresh dill dip, and other starters.
