There are more than 100 trucks scheduled to participate in The World’s Largest Food Truck Rally, which is coming to Detroit’s West Riverfront Park from June 21-23 as part of the River Days Festival. The rally last stopped into the city in November 2018 and drew trucks from all over the country. This month’s festivities are anticipated to be no different with trucks from Ohio, Missouri, Florida, and more scheduled to participate. A roving extension of Frankenmuth’s Bavarian Inn, this truck offers several delicious iterations of the soft pretzel. An innovative concept coming out of Grove City, Ohio, Chicky Chicky Waffle puts a spin on the chicken and waffle combo. Instead of layering a piece of fried chicken atop of a waffle, the truck’s owners came up with the idea to dip seasoned tenders into waffle batter and then deep fry them. These “Always Fresh Always Delish” donuts come straight from Tampa, Florida in a range of delicious flavors like So Much S’More, a vanilla cake donut topped with chocolate ganache and Graham crackers then drizzled with marshmallow.
