SUMMARY:Foster Family Fun Day
DESCRIPTION:Family Fun Day is a welcoming\, free public event celebrating family\, friends\, and community. It’s packed with music\, delicious food\, and fun activities —bounce houses\, games\, face painting\, caricatures\, temporary tattoos\, balloon art\, and a petting zoo with pony rides. Beyond the fun\, the mission is to raise awareness about the urgent need for foster homes in Michigan. With over 10\,000 children currently in foster care\, the goal is to enjoy a day of joy and connection—with hopes that some may consider opening their heart and home to children who need stability\, love\, and hope. \nFoster care steps in to identify and place children in loving\, nurturing homes when children are removed as a result of abuse or neglect. Foster families provide the stability\, consistency\, and support these children need to grow and heal and if reunification is not possible\, provide permanent homes through adoption.
