DESCRIPTION:The 2023 Voices of Freedom celebration will honor the organization’s four decades of life-changing humanitarian aid to refugees\, asylum seekers\, and others fleeing persecution\, torture and upheaval. Freedom House Detroit will host its 2023 Voices of Freedom celebration which recognizes the nonprofit organization’s 40 years of service to refugees\, asylum seekers and others who are seeking humanitarian protection. It will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Fri.\, Oct. 6 at El Kiosko/Kiosco Banquet Hall located at 7271 Dix Rd. in Southwest Detroit. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Professional storyteller\, podcaster and Detroit native\, Shannon Cason will serve as the master of ceremonies. \nTickets are $150 per person and can be purchased via bit.ly/fhd40-vof23.
