As the oldest furniture bank in North America, the Furniture Bank of Metro Detroit has served nearly 80,000 families in need in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. The nonprofit provides gently used furniture and mattresses to families in need to give stability and dignity to them as they overcome challenges such as homelessness, domestic violence, extreme poverty, or sudden crises like fires or floods.
