JOIN US as Life Directions prepares to celebrate 52 years of Good Works by mentoring and shaping the lives of youth and young adults.
The annual “Spark of Hope” Tribute Gala will take place on Friday, April 25, 2025 at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial. This year’s Gala is Chaired by Ed Peper, VP of General Motors (ret.). Guests will experience a very fine social evening while enjoying delicious foods, entertainment, and live and silent auctions.
Founded in Detroit in 1973, Life Directions is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the mission of motivating youth and young adults ages 13 to 35 in Detroit public schools and their surrounding neighborhoods — to mature into responsible, productive members of the community through self-direction and core mentorship programs. Spanning many years, Life Directions has a proven track record of serving and inspiring more than 180,000 young adults since our inception. A preventative programming approach, as opposed to an intervention methodology. Proactive, as opposed to reactive. Life Directions is continuously rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Harvard University.
