Rising from the Ashes Revival

$50The revival is designed to reconnect people of all ages with the core of their Catholic faith. The day will feature four internationally known speakers, a ministry fair where people can learn about the many ways the Catholic Church is present and working in southeast Michigan on a daily basis and a concert to celebrate our faith. Ticket sale proceeds are being directed to five charities; Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan, Mary’s Mantle, The Pope Francis Center, Better Way Detroit and Capuchin Soup Kitchen. This event celebrates our history as Catholics, holding the event on the banks where the first missionaries arrived and the spirit of people like Fr. Gabriel Richard, who after the great fire in Detroit proclaimed, “we hope for better things, we shall rise from the ashes”. People often focus on the struggle, but as people of faith, we must see the vision for a better future.
