The second annual Drive to Survive event is set for Sunday, September 20, sponsored by The Suburban Collection, with proceeds benefiting the Michigan-based nonprofit, Fund a Life.
Organizers are seeking car enthusiasts to register their classic cars, supercars and sports cars in the event, which kicks off with a police-escorted car parade from Brighton High School to the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, passing through the downtown areas of Brighton, Wixom, Walled Lake and Keego Harbor. At M1, guests will enjoy the Suburban Garage with side-by-side private garages where they’ll be free to network with other car enthusiasts with catering and views of the M1 track. Registration for these activities is $150. For an added experience, and a registration of $400, car owners will have the chance to open up their cars on the concourse after a short personal training experience with a professional driver. The event is limited to the first 75 cars to register. The M1 Driver Experience is limited to the first 50 cars to register.
Fund a Life seeks to help Michigan residents who are facing major life altering circumstances including major illnesses, house fires – any kind of catastrophic event where someone is robbed of hope, financially distraught, and in need of help. The goal is to raise $35,000 to provide financial grants to Michigan residents.
