Collective Sweat Detroit will celebrate their 2nd birthday with a 90’s themed fundraiser at Spread Art, on Friday, January 10, 2020. Doors will open at 7:00pm and performances begin at 8:00pm.
Collective Sweat Detroit is proud to feature local Detroit dance artists Bailey Allshouse of Ballshouse Projects, Zandria Lucas of Intertwine Movement Collective, and more. These artists will be perform excerpts of their latest work throughout the evening. The evening will also include fresh 90’s tunes, dancing, and free snacks and refreshments.
Admission to this event is a sliding scale suggested donation of $5 and up. All funds collected will go towards matching a Knight Art Challenge Grant CSD received in 2018. Attendees of the party can expect their donations to go directly toward helping to continue CSD’s programming and the future of dance in Detroit.
Collective Sweat Detroit (CSD) is a community led collective of dancers interested in advancing the rigor and relevance of dance in Detroit. CSD features affordable weekly classes taught by rotating teaching artists, an artist residency program for visiting and local artists, and a community calendar featuring dance events happening in Detroit.
