Local residents are invited to kick off the holidays and celebrate the life changing work of Cass Community Social Services virtually from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., noon, December 6 in the comfort of their own home.
The 14th Annual Rochester Holiday Breakfast, “At Home for the Holidays Virtual Event”, will by catered by Matt Prentice, Three Cats Restaurant and Cass Community Social Services. Breakfast will be delivered via contactless delivery or may be picked up at an identified location and time prior to the event.
“This event is vitally important to Cass Community’s outreach providing homeless men, women and children seeking food, shelter, and medical care as well as services to adults with developmental disabilities,” said Rev. Faith Fowler, executive director of the organization. “Safety precautions prevent us from getting together this year but we are very thankful for our host committee, volunteers, community support and sponsors who will ensure another fun and festive kickoff to the holidays.”
Rev. Fowler said that the Covid-19 pandemic has affected every area of its operation, yet Cass Community Social Services continues to profoundly impact people’s lives,” she said. “Despite what we at Cass, as a community and nation have experienced, we still have much to be grateful for this year.”
The Rochester breakfast gives us the chance to reflect with gratitude on our many accomplishments such as those lives made better through our Tiny Homes project, the Green Industries program providing employment opportunities and the renovation of the Sue Bath Thomasson Apartments and Warming Center for homeless women and children.”
Mistletoe tickets are $45 which includes breakfast for one. To purchase tickets and reserve your online seat by November 25, go to www.casscommunity.org
