Many of Southeast Michigan’s most powerful and influential female leaders will unite at MGM Grand Detroit on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 7 a.m., for Gleaners Community Food Bank’s 26th Annual Women’s Power Breakfast—sponsored by PNC.
The annual event raises awareness and financial support for child-focused, hunger-fighting programs, as well as to advocate for the more than 155,000 kids who face food insecurity across Southeast Michigan.
This year’s event will honor two women who have played critical roles as champions for the future of Michigan’s children: Tonya Allen, president and CEO, Skillman Foundation, and Diane Golzynski, Ph.D., R.D., director of the office of Health and Nutrition Services for the Michigan Department of Education.
The Women’s Power Breakfast will also mark the launch of Gleaners’ monthlong Million Meal Match Campaign to raise at least 1 million meals for children.
Coffee and networking begin at 7a.m., with breakfast and programming to follow at 8 a.m.
