The Michigan Philharmonic presents A Celebration of Courage on Friday, Nov. 8, at 8 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Plymouth. Commemorate and honor our veterans as the Michigan Philharmonic celebrates the 100th anniversary of Veterans Day with tuneful music of remembrance. Big sounds, great partnerships, and wonderful music describe this heartfelt celebration. The 100th anniversary of Veterans Day is a milestone the Michigan Philharmonic is proud to commemorate with a concert of music from patriotic tunes to classical renditions from Ives and Ravel and John Williams. Special guests include composer Linda Robbins Coleman for a performance of her piece Elegy for the Greatest Generation and the choirs from the First Methodist Church and Madonna University, which will join the orchestra for a celebratory finale that will bring you to your feet.
