The Hazel Park Art Fair returns to Green Acres Park on August 26-27, 2023, with approximately 100 new and returning artists showcasing their creations in a variety of mediums including painting, jewelry, glass blowing, pottery, and more to both art lovers and other artists.

“This is an art fair for the artists,” Amy Aubry, Chairperson on the Hazel Park Art Fair Planning

Committee, said in a press release. “We’re celebrating their work and working with them to share it with the wonderful Hazel Park community.”

In addition to the art displays, there will be live events throughout the duration of the fair. These events include live demonstrations on a pottery wheel, a ceramics competition, and a show by the Shadow’s Circus + D3 Circus Troupe who will perform “stunning aerial acts including lyra, silks, fire performing, LED props, ground and standing acrobatics, stilts, characters and more.”

There will even be an opportunity for fair guests to test their clay skills on a pottery wheel or make a wish on the newly-added Traveling Wishing Tree exhibit, which invites attendees to write their wish on a ribbon, tie it to the tree, and check out what others in the community are wish for — you can try to find your wish again next year, too.

Food from Detroit Jerky LLC, Che Cosa, the Great Bread Company and more will offer tasty creations for those to snack on and enjoy throughout the event, and those over 21 can attend the beer tent which will feature beers from local breweries.

The Hazel Park Art Fair will take place at Green Acres Park from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday,

August 26 and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 27. There is no cost to attend. Green Acres Park is located at 620 W. Woodward Heights Blvd, Hazel Park.
