Vets Returning Home (VRH) is having its sixth annual dinner fundraiser on March 14 at 6 p.m. at Royalty House Banquet Facility, located at 8201 13 Mile Rd. in Warren. Tickets are $50 per person or $400 for a table. This year, any veteran who attends will be entered into a drawing for a 1999 BMW motorcycle, which Sandy Bower, founder of VRH, will be giving away at the event. VRH is a nonprofit and nongovernment-funded organization dedicated to helping veterans transition into stable lives. VRH has successfully transitioned an average of 250 veterans yearly back into society as fully functioning community members. Services include connecting veterans with a therapist and a case worker on-site. There is also a food pantry, a career closet, a vehicle donation program, and a furniture storage facility so houses can be furnished for the veterans.
