Winter Blast Merging into Royal Oak Holidays in 2025

Winter Blast, the popular Detroit festival that began in 2005, is merging into Royal Oak Holidays for an expanded event beginning on Nov. 21, 2025.

The newly expanded Royal Oak Holidays will take place over five consecutive weekends in downtown Royal Oak. Each weekend will feature a special theme. While Winter Blast won’t exist by name anymore, its many popular attractions will live on through Royal Oak Holidays. These attractions include zip line rides, carnival attractions, and ice sculptures.

Not only is entry free for Royal Oak Holidays, but all of the aforementioned Winter Blast attractions are also free. Previously, the zip line rides and carnival rides were an additional cost to the free entry festival.

On top of the many scheduled activities, Royal Oak Holidays will feature an expanded outdoor holiday market with over 15 local gift vendors.

Royal Oak Holidays Theme Weekends
