Around this time each year, Christmas-themed bars take over metro Detroit. This year is no different, with old favorites and some new flavors. Here are 10 options to check out this season.

Blitzen’s on Bagley

This pop-up is located in the former spot of Bagley Central, which has been all decked out for the holiday season. Cadillac Lodge

Cadillac Lodge has returned to downtown Detroit for another holiday season. The pop-up bar offers a ski-lodge vibe, with festive lights and decor inside a heated transparent tent. Cocktails & Cable Knits

Kicking off on Nov. 22, this holiday pop-up features a swanky, ’50s and ’60s vibes with vintage pink decor, seasonal cocktails, and shopping at Fenton Fire Hall, Union Assembly, and Union Workshop. Visit for more. 

Detroit City Distillery

Swing by the distillery and enjoy their Winter Whiskey Wonderland, which offers a brand-new holiday menu that features more than 20 artisanal cocktails including the gin-based Grandma’s Secret Stash and the frozen coconut and rum, Coquito, along with three alcohol-free options. Detroit City Distillery, 2462 Riopelle St., Detroit;

Griswold’s Hideaway

This Royal Oak pop-up is themed to National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and features specialty cocktails based on the beloved movie. Jingle, a Christmas Pop-up

Goodbye Ale Mary’s, hello Jingle. From Nov. 24-Dec. 8, 2023, Ale Mary’s is going by the name Jingle and will be decked out in holiday cheer. Jingle will continue to serve Ale Mary’s regular menu items, with the addition of Christmas drinks. Ale Mary’s, 316 S. Main St., Royal Oak;


International pop-up bar Miracle has made its way to metro Detroit once again. Taking over The Oakland in Ferndale and Dragonfly in Detroit this year, you can expect Christmas classics like mulled wine and original tastes. Miracle at the Oakland, 201 W. Sippin Santa

Once again, The Skip is transforming into Sippin Santa for the snowy season. If you seek out The Skip for its tropical theme, don’t worry — the bar is keeping is beachy roots intact with crossover drinks served in mugs that are shaped like Santa wearing sunglasses and holding surfboards. Sylvan Table Holiday Pop-Up Bar

JoJo’s Winter Wonderland

JoJo’s ShakeBAR at The District Detroit is brining the North Pole to the Motor City. In addition to festive decor, including an eight-foot nutcracker and giant ornaments, JoJo’s will offer peppermint shakes topped with Christmas trees, giant Polar Espresso Martinits, the Santa Sangria, and more.
