Not Just Skin Deep
“Saving your Skin” [October 2012 Hour Detroit] was excellent, thorough, and accurate. You interviewed an impressive number of dermatologists and the layout was inviting for the reader. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of such a special article.

Remembering Jeff Murri
I worked with Jeff Murri at Fox 2 and will always remember him as a caring and involved manager. His energy and laughter were infectious and his vision helped shape Fox 2 into a station committed to helping metro Detroit. I still shake my head thinking about his death [“Inner Pain,” October 2012], as it will never make sense to those who knew and loved him. But I will always hold dear the memories of a man who was not only a boss, but also a friend.

What a tragic story and terrible loss. Thank you, Jim McFarlin, for the care you took in researching and writing [“Inner Pain,” October 2012] and for including the warning signs.

An engaging profile [“Inner Pain,” October 2012] of a man on top of the world, beloved and recognized, everything for which you strive — and yet, no one realized he needed their help.

Zingerman’s Zest
Great article [“Retro Recipe,” October 2012]. I can smell the food from East Lansing. The only shortcoming of the [review of Zingerman’s Roadhouse] seems to be no mention of sweet-potato fries with spicy mayo. A bowl of soup supported by sweet-potato fries will leave no doubt you have had a meal.

Docs’ Delight
Congratulations to the WSUPG doctors that made this year’s Hour Detroit Top Docs list [October 2012]. We’re proud to have had 65 of our physicians receive this honor.
