Inn Heaven

I cannot thank you enough for the gorgeous spread in Hour Detroit [“Inn-timate,” May 2012]. I’m completely blown away. I could never have wished for a more generous, kind, or beautiful story about my little inn, and I am beyond grateful for your words and efforts. I am so touched and honored.

— Meghan McEwen, owner, Honor & Folly, Corktown Detroit

Cover Charged

The cover photograph of Turnip Rock, Lake Huron, is stunning [“Island Hopping in the Great Lakes,” May 2012]. I also read the great article on Dish. I’ve been a patron for a couple years; the food is outstanding and the owners are very nice. I’m looking forward to reading more Hour Detroit articles.

— Maribeth Farkas, Caponigro Public Relations

At Home

What a wonderful article about making houseguests feel special [“Hospitality Sweet,” May 2012]. I appreciate you thinking of my “Space for Six.” You made me sound very articulate. That’s a great editor. I look forward to more great articles. Thank you.

— Lynda Charfoos, Bloomfield Hills

Street Smart

I would look to New Orleans as a model [“Back on Track?” May 2012]. They only have a couple of bona fide streetcar lines, but they’re in the most populated areas and service a lot of people. Plus, it’s an enjoyable service for a downtown to have.

Happy Ending

Such a wonderful love story [“Dramatic Journey,” May 2012], and I so love happy endings.

— Cynthia Lyn-Gray Miller, Grand Haven (via web)

Miracles Do Come True

A beautiful story and a reminder of how miracles are always there waiting for us to receive them [“Dramatic Journey,” May 2012].

— Paula Perelman, Birmingham (via web)
