Dialed In (And Wrong Number)

The July issue (“Dialing in to Metro Detroit”) is fantastic and presents Detroit in an exciting way. I’ve had numerous clients in from around the world looking at buying and investing in our area …  I am going to buy a bunch of copies to hand them out to visitors! How do we get more mentions for Pontiac in Hour?
Bob Waun, CORE Partners (Consultants of Real Estate), Bingham Farms

// Really enjoyed the “313” issue. However, you omitted a true Detroit gem — the Detroit Film Theatre. Located in the DIA, a great variety of film in a beautiful setting. — Michele Bucher, via email

// I was surprised to see that one of the “3 Dangerous Intersections” (Southfield and 11 Mile Road) was stated to be in Southfield. It is, and has always been, the only major intersection completely within the borders of the city of Lathrup Village. — Cary C., via email

Editor’s Note: We stand corrected. Thanks.

A Missing Coney Link?

Great article on the Lafayette Coney Island! (“A Long Day’s Coney Into Night,” July 2015). I wanted to send a link to out-of-state transplants, and couldn’t readily find it online. — Steve Kelley

Editor’s Note: Hour Detroit subscribers get the first look — issues hit their mailboxes closer to the middle of the month (in this case, July issues arrived in mid-June, when Steve wrote us). July content went on the website on July 1.

Fighters, Not Victims

So glad you honored Jeffrey Imerman as part of the Best of Detroit (June 2015). However, you indicate that Imerman Angels is for cancer “victims.” I think there may be a better way to support people currently in the fight! Imerman Angels has matched more than 7,000 cancer “fighters” with cancer survivors for one-on-one support.— Meg Morley, via email

More Errata

We incorrectly printed the length of time Shahida Mausi has managed and operated Chene Park (“Name Dropping,” July 2015). She has been associated with the venue for 15 years — 12 years as general manager/promoter and three years when she worked for the city.
