To celebrate the launch of its new line inspired by the “modern career woman,” the St. John Knits Boutique at Somerset Collection in Troy will hold a fashion event on Saturday, Oct. 14.

Running from 1-4 p.m., the event will feature an informal model presentation at 1:30 p.m. that spotlights The New Standard collection. Only available in the color black, pieces in the collection are designed to be transitional and worn from “desk to dinner.”

Officials with St. John say guests at the event can expect to see garments like a jacket in featherweight knit boucle, a cape, stretched leather leggings, and a ribbed knit two-piece top and skirt that pays homage the original St. John Knit dress from the early ’60s.

The New Standard Collection will offer shoppers an updated twist on St. John’s most iconic staples, from classic boucle jackets and oversized blazers to legendary knits.

Food and drink will be available at the event, and guests will receive a St. John black clutch with a purchase of $495 or more from The New Standard collection. The St. John Knits Boutique is located on the first floor of the South side of Somerset Collection.
