Advent Evening of Fellowship 2016

On Dec. 1, the Patrons of the Arts in The Vatican Museums Michigan chapterheld their annual Advent Evening of Fellowship at the Detroit Athletic Club. The black tie event featured guest speaker Ken Katz, conservation and restoration artist. Katz and his team were hired to repair water damage to the ceiling of the main dining room of the Albert Kahn-designed Detroit Athletic Club, eventually leading to a restoration of the paintings hidden beneath layers of old paint. The evening benefitted the chapter’s mission of to raising funds to maintain and restore the vast collection of art housed in the Vatican Museums.
