Detroit Historical Society 2015 Society Ball

On Dec. 5 at the historic Packard Plant, the Detroit Historical Society held the 2015 Ball. In the first major black-tie event held at the newly renovated space, guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, live and silent auction, and entertainment by Nicole New. Built in 1939, the 260,000-square-foot warehouse was designed by H. E. Beyster Corp., for the Packard Motor Car Company. Building 22 was used for construction of the one-of-a-kind Rolls Royce Merlin aircraft engine.
