Detroit Study Club Centennial Award

On May 15, the Detroit Study Club was honored by the by the Michigan Historical Society with the Centennial Award at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham. The club was organized in 1898, and is the first African American Women’s Club to receive the plaque.
