The Power of One 2018

On April 23, Fostering Academics Mentoring Excellence Program hosted The Power of One: Challenging Perceptions and Changing Lives event at Michigan State’s College of Law in East Lansing. A collaboration with Chance at Childhood, Art & Soul Dreams, and MSU College of Law, the event featured a panel and MSU alumni who have had experiences with foster care. A keynote address was made by Shenandoah Chefalo, an author, speaker, and advocate for child welfare. Art & Soul Dreams also opened their new art exhibit in celebration of National Foster Care Month.
