Last year we wrote about one of Michigan’s (and the nation’s) most celebrated music festivals, Electric Forest. This year, we’re excited to bring you some photos from our 2015 experience.
We’d been told the forest is hard to describe in words. And after witnessing it first-hand, we fully understand now — everything from tree houses, art installations hidden among the trees, live performers in every corner, hammocks swinging throughout the forest, neon lights radiating from the trees at night, and incredibly beautiful light art installations come together for a one-of-a-kind, unforgettable time. Words won’t serve the event full justice to what we witnessed this year, all we know is, we’ll definitely be back in 2016, and recommend you do too. The 3 hour drive to Rothbury from Detroit is worth it.
The biggest shocker of the festival for us? How kind everyone from the performers, Electric Forest staff, and attendees were. Not to say we expected anything less, but to see thousands of people come together for this festival, and witness the level of respect everyone shared with one another was truly eye-opening.
