Wright Gala 2016
On Oct. 8, the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History celebrated 51 years of excellence with their 2016 gala themed, “Music on My Mind.” Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, dinner, dessert, dancing, and more during the music-infused celebration. Entertainers for the evening included two-time Emmy Award-winning violinist Damien Escobar, Detroit-based Collective Peace, featuring Grammy-nominated saxophonist, LaDarrel “Saxappeal” Johnson, and recording artist Mike Ellison.
