Give back while enjoying food from some of the area’s best restaurants, wine, art, and classic cars. Dynami Foundation — a Plymouth-based nonprofit focused on breast cancer research, treatment, and prevention — is hosting its sixth annual Uncork for a Cure fundraiser at Cauley Ferrari on Nov. 12.

A VIP reception kicks off at 6 p.m., and the event opens to general ticket holders at 7 p.m. The theme for this year’s Uncork for a Cure is Italian Apres Ski and the dress code instructs guests to wear their “best jeans, fur vests, boots, leather, and cozy knits.” Artist Nicole Jarecz will be on site to do live fashion illustrations of attendees.

The event will feature eats from metro Detroit restaurants such as Grey Ghost, SheWolf, Mabel Gray, Bacco, Casa Pernoi, and Apparatus Room as well as an oyster and caviar bar from Motor City Seafood. Plum Market sommelier Madeline Triffon will curate the wine pairings for the evening.

A raffle drawing for a 1997 F355 Classic Ferrari Spider will take place later in the evening. The vehicle comes in Ferrari’s classic “Rosso Corsa” red and features beige leather and a six-speed manual transmission. Raffle tickets, which are $250 each, are available for purchase online through Nov. 9.

Uncork for a Cure raises money for breast cancer research, survivorship, patient outreach, and education. Dynami Foundation founder Flora Migyanka launched the event in 2016 following her experience with cancer.

“I was diagnosed after my first mammogram with Stage One Invasive Lobular Carcinoma at the age of 40,” Migyanka says in a press release. “After a bilateral mastectomy, reconstruction, and ongoing tamoxifen therapy, I came out on the other side healthy and cancer-free. Since then, it’s been my personal mission to raise funds for Invasive Lobular Breast Cancer research, an underfunded common subtype of all breast cancers, and also continue to raise awareness while supporting the local hospitality community that I love so much.”

Cauley Ferrari is located at 7070 Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield. Keeping COVID safety in mind, this year’s Uncork for a Cure is a limited-capacity event and will be held in the dealership’s open-air garage. Guests are encouraged to observe social distancing, and hand sanitizer will be provided.

Individual tickets for the event are $300 and can be purchased online. Sponsorship packages are also available.
