How to Make Honcho’s Salchipapas

A Peruvian street-food staple, salchipapas is comprised of a serving of thick-cut fries with a layer of sausage, sauces, and other toppings. Clarkston-based restaurant Honcho shares its take on the dish below.

Honcho’s Salchipapas Recipe 

Ingredients

7 oz. cooked French fries (or one handful)

3 oz. Peruvian chili sauce

2 1/2 oz. smoked sausage (about 1 1/2 links, cooked)

3 oz. Monterey Jack cheese blend

1 large egg

1 oz. scallions

Directions

Layer your favorite French fries onto a baking pan and drizzle with Peruvian chili sauce. Top with cooked smoked sausage and Monterey Jack cheese. Broil for 3 minutes at 325 degrees or until cheese is melted. Top with a fried egg and garnish with freshly chopped scallions.
