Indoor golf recreation and entertainment company Five Iron Golf will be opening two new Michigan locations in 2022. The first will open this August in Shelby Township and a second will follow later this year in Detroit.

Based at 50773 Corporate Dr., Five Iron Golf’s Shelby Township location will feature a putting green, a full-service bar and restaurant, widescreen TVs, shuffleboard, and more in a 6,000-square-foot space. The Detroit spot, located at 600 W. Lafayette Boulevard, will also feature two bowling lanes in addition to the normal Five Iron Golf offerings in a 24,000-square-foot complex.

Additionally, Five Iron Golf will offer custom club fitting from The Fitting Lab, which GolfDigest named one of America’s Best Clubfitters for 2021-2022. TrackMan golf simulators will also be on site and provide guests with over 150 different golf courses to play on, including 40 courses from PGA tour venues from past and present like The Old Course, Liberty National, and Pebble Beach.

Experienced golf instructors will be available for both private and group golf lessons from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day. Guests can get swing stats and golf metrics like speed, face angle, launch angle, loft, carry, spin rate, and smash factor, as well as a detailed video analysis of their play.

“With each new location, we remain unwavering in our commitment to pushing the boundaries of traditional golf and providing an accessible, approachable, and appealing space that exceeds the needs of golfers, entertainment enthusiasts, and everyone in between,” says Nora Dunnan, co-founder and chief operating officer of Five Iron Golf, in a press release. “We are thrilled to enter the Detroit-area market and inspire the local community to connect within the walls of our dynamic, energetic space.”

Five Iron Golf also hosts seasonal golf leagues both featuring local competitors and players from across the country, playing against one another on the simulators. Guests can book online for fittings, to take lessons, to use the simulators, to join leagues, and to host events.
