Ex-Lark’s Somerville Heads to Steven Lelli’s Inn on the Green

Now that The Lark has served its final dishes, its chef, John Somerville, had probably one of the easiest job searches imaginable. He rode the West Bloomfield restaurant’s reputation for excellence into the executive chef de cuisine post at Steven Lelli’s Inn on the Green in Farmington Hills. The steak menu will continue – after all, the restaurant founded in Midtown Detroit in 1939 has always been known for its beef. But there’s no doubt Somerville will bring some of his own style to the handsome dining room, which adheres to a traditional look — in this case, complete with glittery chandeliers and velvet-draped windows.
