Gone are the pizzas and pastas of Quattro, making room for ceviche, guacamole, and carne asada at the reworked spot, which now offers a modern Mexican menu reflecting the Southwest experience of Executive Chef Hammond Lawton. Graffiti-style murals brighten the space, which now has roll-up windows on one side. Tequilas, beer, and craft cocktails made with fresh fruit essences accompany the authentic fare.

THE SILVER SPOON:
Named for the Italian cookbook Il Cucchiaio d’Argento, it returns former Il Posto chef Daniele Dell’Acqua, sous-chef Mauro Querio, and manager Rito Lisi to the restaurant scene, offering an á la carte Italian menu in a corner of Papa Joe’s Plaza in Rochester Hills. It’s a captivating place from the thriving herb garden at the entrance to the linen-lavished tables beneath photographs of Italy. Waiters serve from rolling carts as they did at Il Posto. Notable dishes include grilled Mediterranean sea bass, fresh swordfish with herb stuffing, fresh and dried pastas, risotto, veal paillard, saltimbocca alla Romana, and veal medallions with artichokes, olives, and capers.
