In Pulp Fiction, Uma Thurman’s character gets a shot of adrenaline to the heart. The scene inspired the crew at The Oakland in Ferndale to create this light and bright seasonal pick-me-up (John Travolta not included).
Ingredients:
1 pinch kosher salt
2 ounces ramp-infused Valentine Vodka
1 ounce fresh lime juice
¾ ounce simple syrup
¼ ounce ghost pepper syrup
¼ ounce pickle brine (they use McClure’s Garlic Dill Pickle)
1 heavy shake Cholula hot sauce
1 can of Tecate beer
Directions:
Muddle the tomatoes and salt in a shaker until they’re well-pulverized. Add ice and all other ingredients except Tecate. Shake vigorously and strain into an iced Collins glass. Top with Tecate.
