Michigan Wines Showcase

Celebrate Michigan wine with master sommeliers Claudia Tyagi and Madeline Triffon and enjoy appetizers by chef Chris Franz at this annual event from 6-8:30 p.m. April 18 at the Rattlesnake Club. Tickets are $45. michiganwines.com

 

Bacon Bash

Spring Fever Beer Fest

Raise a pint for a good cause from 7:30-11 p.m. April 23 at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. This event benefits Healthy Detroit and Handy Hearts. There’s entertainment, games, and food. Attendees receive a commemorative pint glass and a photo. Admission includes 15 samples while VIP admission includes 20 samples and early admission. Designated driver tickets are available for $15. VegFest

Michigan’s largest vegan organization’s annual festival is April 24 at Suburban Collection Showplace. Presenters include Dr. Alan Goldhamer, actress Simone Reyes, and former Bad Boy and current vegan advocate John Salley. Chefs from Avalon International Breads and Chive Kitchen will lead cooking demonstrations. Enjoy plant-based cuisine from restaurants, bakeries, caterers, and food companies.
