Hot Spot: February 2015

Chef and proprietor Jeremy Grandon did a 180-degree turn at the former Jeremy Restaurant and turned it into a smokehouse with all manner of wood-smoked meats served with the traditional accompaniments of cornbread, gumbo, and black-eyed peas. It’s a hit and a much better fit for Keego Harbor. Popular dishes include the sampler of pulled pork, brisket, and andouille sausage as well as the St. Louis ribs, either dry-rubbed or with one of the house sauces, and the half chicken. Beer is the drink of choice. 1978 Cass Lake Rd., Keego Harbor; 248-681-2124. L & D daily, Br. Sun. $16.
