A sports-themed bar and restaurant with an emphasis on craft beers certainly taps into the heart of our sports-loving town, and it was something MGM Detroit Grand didn’t have until September, when the former Wolfgang Puck Grille was completely overhauled and given an industrial look as a setting for sports memorabilia, from shiny trophies to black-and-white photos of baseball, football, and hockey stars of past decades. A menu of familiar dishes, such as nachos, chicken wings, burgers, and steaks, is served from an open kitchen. The big space seats 292, and it seems there’s a high-definition flat-screenTV for each of them.
