The pretty little village of Oxford has its first upscale restaurant, a handsome spot right next to the Victorian-style Centennial Park on the main street. There’s quite a contrast between the park and its new neighbor, slickly done up in African mahogany, Brazilian cherrywood, and stained glass, with linen-swathed tables and a premium bar. The extensive menu includes steaks, seafood, and a few Italian dishes from the kitchen, headed by chef Leonardo Vulagi. 23 S. Washington, Oxford; 248-628-1400. L weekdays, D nightly. $23 H Smoking at the bar.
