Miguel’s Cantina:
The tortilla dishes of Mexico, as well as the less familiar carne asada, camarones rellenos, and carnitas, are all served in a festively decorated space that has a lively sports-bar feeling. A distinctive touch is the made-at-the-table salsa that allows diners to have a custom-made blend. The kitchen uses fresh local ingredients as much as possible. Backing up the fare is a mostly bilingual staff that adds to the experience with friendly service.

Dockside Jack’s:
The casual wharf-side spot offers the expected perch, whitefish, burgers, and steaks, but also some contemporary touches that give it a little flair under the new regime that took over what had been Jack’s Waterfront. The burgers are made with lean, dry-aged beef, and come with such extras as chipotle aioli or arugula, as well as the standard trimmings. The interior has been spruced up, and there’s a view through big windows, although it’s more of the boats at the dock than a sweeping vista.
