It’s officially May, which means we’re nearing the corner to another sugary-filled holiday … Mother’s Day! What better way to share the love than with Grand Traverse Pie Company’s limited time Strawberries and Champagne pie? It’s made specially for Mom.

Crafted with Michigan strawberries and champagne from L. Mawby Vineyards in Sutton’s Bay, the extra hearty pie is fizzing with the sweet taste of home. It’s finished with a crumb topping and a chocolate ganache drizzle. With a subtle nod to the bubbles and a real taste of locally grown berries, you’ll find this particular pie to be a perfect Mother’s Day treat.

Beware though, a small slice is enough to hit the spot because this pie is quite heavy and extra sweet.

Also available for a limited time is the raspberry key lime pie, originally introduced for spring months but extended due to popular demand.

On the dining menu, new summer items include a Mediterranean veggie quiche, a Cobb salad, and a turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich. The sriracha mayo on the sandwich is phenomenally smooth, yet not too spicy.
