As the weather changes, so do some of our favorite restaurants’ offerings. From dog-friendly fare to afternoon tea, here are six new and noteworthy menus around metro Detroit.

La Dulce: Following it’s move from Royal Oak to Detroit, La Dulce announced it would be shifting its focus and menu to solely authentic Mexican cuisine, in homage to owner Luis Negrete’s roots and the recent earthquakes experienced in the region. Proceeds from a number of menu items will directly benefit the affected areas in Mexico City, Puebla, and Oaxaca. New items include Cochinita Pibil, a slow-roasted pork shoulder in achiote sauce, served with pickled onions and habanero salsa; and Enmoladas, slow-cooked pork made with black mole and served with tortillas and crema.

Rugby Grille: Located inside of the Towsend Hotel, Rugby Grille announced new fall lunch and dinner menus in early October. New items include entree selections like a lamb osso bucco and lobster mac and cheese, as well as updated lunch options such as a steak and provolone sandwich and Foroe Island salmon.

Gather: After briefly shuttering in September, Gather in Eastern Market has reopened under chef Jessie Patuano, previously of The Root Restaurant & Bar. Under Patuano, the menu is highlighted by seasonal dishes with an emphasis on fresh vegetables. Current offerings include a pumpkin gnocchi served with orange brown butter, sage, chili, and shaved parmesan; and cornbread topped with first frost braized greens, sweet corn, and a confit tomato butter, served in a mini skillet.

Bastone Brewing: Although the end of patio season is almost upon us, the newly renovated Bastone Brewing in Royal Oak has launched a new dog-friendly menu for their outdoor seating area. The “Pups on the Patio” menu includes dining options like salmon over rice, kielbasa and peanut butter, and hangar steak slices served over potatoes. Fine dining for man’s best friend.

La Lanterna: In the midst of its first year open after a 40-year hiatus, La Lanterna announced earlier last month that they would be adding a new brunch menu to their offerings. Alongside traditional American classics, the location will be serving items such as melon prosciutto, chocolate croissants, and an assortment of traditional and creative crepes. The bar will also be open for brunch, serving classics like bloody marys, mimosas, and Italian bellinis.
